We have been reading Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson and Axel Schffler in the week coming up to Halloween. This is a story about a witch and her adventure on the broom with some new animal friends. She uses her cauldron to make a spell to create a "magnificent broom" with room for everyone to join her.
We tried making our own magnificent magic spells on Friday 27th October when everyone was sin their Halloween costume in the hopes that we too could create a broom like the witch's.

"Iggety, ziggety, zaggety, ZOOM"!
We used 'skeleton bones' (baking soda), 'vampire blood' (food colouring) and just a b it of 'magic water' (vineagar) to create a bubbling cauldron of magic! See how we got on in the pictures below.
