Halloween Potions!

We have been reading Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson and Axel Schffler in the week coming up to Halloween. This is a story about a witch and her adventure on the broom with some new animal friends. She uses her cauldron to make a spell to create a "magnificent broom" with room for everyone to join her. We tried making our own magnificent magic spells on Friday 27th October when everyone was sin their Halloween costume in the hopes that we too could create a broom like the witch's. "Iggety, ziggety, zaggety, ZOOM"! We used 'skeleton bones' (baking soda), 'vampire blood' (food colouring) and just a b it of 'magic water' (vineagar) to create a bubbling cauldron of magic! Smartest Giant in Town

Our theme for October was Clothes. We read the story 'The Smartest Giant in Town'. We worked together to make smart clothes for the George using old pieces of material. At the end of the week we put him together. You can meet him at the Classroom door.
